During the holiday season, it’s common to purchase more food than we can consume. This presents an opportunity to use leftovers creatively, reducing food waste and its impact on climate change. My most recent podcast Episode #72 (Judith Guerra Wellness Connections) discusses what COMPOSTING is and why we want to participate in taking steps to employ this sustainable method of climate action to help with climate challenges. The NRDC Β (the Natural Resources Defense Council) states what COMPOSTING provides: “positive ways that protect the planet’s wildlife and wild places, and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water and healthy communities.”

Every year around this time, I make it a point to find out what is available for Mental Health support for the BIPOC community. Bebe Moore Campbell was an advocate who understood the importance of focusing on the issues and needs of this community in order to make a way for resources. Caring is sharing, which I hope you will do with your loved ones, and by passing this information on. There is even more to gain by delving into the resources available.
