I am a senior citizen retired after working for 50 years in various professions.
I find social media intriguing, blogging uplifting, and technology in general a welcomed challenge. My newest interests are Aromatherapy and Essential Oils. I have recently acquired an Aromatherapist Certification from the New York Institute of Aromatics. I write about all of these interests as topics on my various blogs. I am hopeful that the posts I create bring information that is useful and moves my readers to explore more.

How often do you check whether that “health bar” or “health whatever” – is really all that it is supposed to be? That is to say, is it a healthful addition to your eating habits?
I want to share with you that I have had occasion to buy a “health bar” only to later learn that the sugar, and other “not too good” ingredients were less than desirable for a health conscious snack.
That’s why I want to share with you the FOODUCATE App, which is a free.
I use the App to help me discover what the ingredients are in the ‘health-snack’ that I am choosing to eat.

A recurring theme on my blogs for June 2021 is the importance of using sunscreen SPF (sun protection factor), for anyone who finds themselves “under the sun“. Summer months are a period where you may find yourself spending more time on the beach or just outside for long periods of time. It is ESSENTIAL that you protect yourself and other family members. Babies could use a hat also on the beach.
Those of you who follow my blogs are aware of the fact that I search the web to find the best information that I feel worthwhile sharing. Such is the case for this quote from the Better Health Channel. It is one of the most popular health and medical websites in Australia. In fact, it’s their No. 1 health and Medical website. Below is a quote from their website:
Melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer. It may appear as a new spot or as a change in an existing mole or freckle. Over 95 per cent of skin cancers can be successfully treated if they are found early. If untreated, melanomas can spread to other parts of the body and may not be curable.
