JUST FYI – FAITH -Heart Health APP for African Americans

Those of you who follow the HairBlues blog, or have listened to my Wellness Connections podcast, are aware that I am an Open Heart Surgery survivor, now 27 years strong.

I am always on the lookout for information that I can share about the progress of heart health advancements.

Research continues to be forthcoming, as is in the case of the FAITH App, (Fostering African American Improvement in Total Health), which I learned about recently. Let me be clear, Apps are NOT suggested to replace good medical advice. However, the FAITH app is good news worth sharing. In a study Mayo Clinic researchers evaluated the effectiveness of a culturally relevant mobile app designed to improve heart health among African Americans in faith communities.
