It’s that time of year again when many families pile into the car with the kids for their yearly road trip. It may be that some of the kids, coming

I must admit; I’m an iPhone ‘fan’ hands down. Â The reason I’ve stayed with them for so long is that Steve Jobs figured it out for me: Â I did not want a complicated phone – however, Â I wanted it to be a sophisticated device. Â I wanted help when I needed it, and I wanted it to fit into my purse without it being a major undertaking. Â ‘Easy does it’ has been my reason for staying with iPhone throughout my mobile phone experience. Â And, I’m still satisfied. The iPhone just keeps giving me what I want – and what I need.
In a recent article, New York Times, Brian Chen reminds us it’s been 10 Years! Yes!  He also tells us what has kept the iPhone customer returning for more of  what 
Apple has to offer. However, in its 10th year, there is a bit of competition to contend with. Â So how will Apple pull off staying on top of the market? Some of you may have cell phones that you are no longer using, and that you may be interested in donating, but are hesitant because you are not quite sure how to get that done safely and efficiently. After all, most of our phones contain information that is personal, and private to our friends/acquaintances. Of course, you don’t want to pass on your contact information when you donate your phone. In addition, you don’t want to manually delete your passwords and email and all of your personal information.
Well, it turns out there is a fairly quick way to get that information cleared off your phone. However, before you delete any information, I suggest you contact your phone company carrier to help you with transferring your information to your new phone.

Oftentimes,  we buy, or receive as gifts, new devices like iPads and iPhones. Then we assume that we should/ can learn how to use them by ‘tinkering’ around with the buttons and Icons.  However, if we just invest a little time by taking a tutorial (or two), we will enjoy and get better experiences from our new device.

Prevent phone freeze
♦ To keep phones from getting too chilly, don’t leave them alone in the elements, like in a parked car. Stashing your phone inside pockets closest to your person, where they can absorb some of your body heat, is best.  If you do need to leave it behind, turn the phone off instead of just putting it to sleep. Choosing Computer Monitors
♦The next article we think you will want to read is by Kate Murphy at the New York Times, Personal Tech section. This article covers what you should consider when buying a computer monitor. Since we spend sooo much time these days looking at computer screens, it’s important to know why you choose one monitor versus another, and how important  the specs are. Ms. Murphy explains resolution, and how the picture elements (pixels) are supposed to give a sharper picture quality. However, that may be true only up to a point. Murphy checks with a retinal neuroscientist for his opinion. In addition, contrast ratio is explained. But, after all of this discussion it turns out “Response time is the first thing to look at”. Ergonomics play an important role when choosing a monitor. How monitor ergonomics affects eye, back, and neck strain is also reviewed.
